HONORARY MEMBERSHIP

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all three of the following criteria:

  1. Must be at least seventy (70) years old by July 1 of the application year.

  2. Must have held MTNA membership for a total of at least 10 years and NJMTA membership for a total of at least 5 years.

  3. Must have served as an NJMTA Board member or committee chairperson for a total of at least 5 years.

Procedure

  1. All candidates must submit a self-application for this status in July of the given year, using the official NJMTA-provided application form. (See link below.)

  2. The completed application, along with all relevant service documentation, must be submitted to the Vice President of Membership by August 1 of the application year.

  3. The Vice President of Membership will present the list of candidates for approval at the September NJMTA Executive Board meeting.

  4. New recipients of the Honorary Membership will be recognized annually at the NJMTA State Conference.

  5. Following the State Conference, the Vice President of Membership will submit the list of recipients to the MTNA Membership Department for permanent record.

  6. The updated membership status will be confirmed when recipients renew their MTNA/NJMTA membership for the next fiscal year.

  7. Once confirmed, their honorary status will be permanently entered into the record.
