MTNA Student Performance Competition

Competition Date and place:

State level will be on Saturday, November 13, 2010, Rowan University, Glassboro. For details see the April/May issue of American Music Teacher for rules, applications and deadlines.

 

 

General Information:

  • The April/May issue of American Music Teacher Magazine contains a supplement with all the necessary information for entering these competitions. This information can also be found on the national website.
  • Entrants are responsible for providing their own accompanists. NJMTA provides a list of recommended accompanists should you need one. A teacher may not accompany his or her own student.
  • Student and teacher eligibility requirements are outlined specifically in the AMT supplement.
  • Handwritten applications will not be accepted. You may register online.
  • Each competition has a postmark deadline for entry. See the AMT supplement for dates.
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • Visit the MTNA Competition website for all forms and guidelines regarding the annual MTNA Performance Competitions.
  • State representatives are strongly encouraged to perform for evaluation on the day of the state competition.
