NJMTA Performathon Update
Thanks to all who participated in the 2008 NJMTA Children Helping Children Performathon. What a great success!
So far we have collected over $8400.00. Over 25 teachers and 140 students were presented in 11 recitals on the weekend of Feb. 2nd. and Feb. 3rd. in Bristol Chapel at Westminster Choir College.
To date, we have presented $5, 410.00 to the Ronald McDonald House of New Brunswick, $1,515,00 to the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey and $1,455.00 to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch.
We are still receiving donations. In addition, the Young Artist Program of Westminster Conservatory is dedicating its Performance Classes on March 15th to the Performathon. Students have been approaching potential sponsors to support their preparation and performance on that day.
It’s not just children who have joined our event. Ena Barton’s Friday Afternoon Performance Class at Westminster Conservatory heard about the Performathon and they decided to dedicate their February 8th Class to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Thank You!
We have received wonderful letters from the three Ronald McDonald Houses in New Jersey thanking us for ‘putting on this fabulous fundraiser to benefit RMH.
Because of your generosity, the Ronald McDonald House can continue to be a permanent source of strength for families coping with the crisis of caring for a seriously ill child.”
The Children Helping Children Performathon has been an exciting and rewarding experience for many of us in New Jersey.
Thank you for sharing your time, energy and talents in helping New Jersey lead the way in Community Outreach.
