The following Board decision effects immediately: ONLY TEACHERS CAN CONTACT THE CHAIRPERSONS OR THE NJMTA OFFICERS. Should the parent contact any of the NJMTA chairpersons or officers will disqualify his/her child/children from all the NJMTA sponsored competitions and auditions in the whole year.

Use the competition entry form located in the “Registration Entry and Trophy Award Forms” section of the book. Fill in all the required information on both sides of the form. Mail ONE check, payable to “NJMTA Competition” to: |

Postmarked no later than Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Entries mailed after this date will be returned. |

Teacher Eligibility: |
Teachers must be members of NJMTA in good standing and, except for new members, must have paid their dues by January 1, 2008. All sponsoring teachers must assist at the auditions. |

Repertoire: |
One selection from the advanced repertoire from any musical period in any style, such as a movement from a Beethoven Sonata. The selection is at the discretion of the teacher. No arrangements or simplified editions will be accepted. Repeats will not be played, unless the repeats affect the integrity of the piece. Variations must be performed in their entirety. Memorization is required. |
